South Africa - Salesian Family provides aid to desperate population
Ennerdale, South Africa - May 2020 - The prolongation of the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic is throwing the population into despair because they are hungry. Two Salesian Cooperators have started making masks and delivering food parcels to 400 poor families in the Gong Gong area of the North Cape. The SDB and FMA communities of Ennerdale have obtained the necessary permits to go out and distribute food and are waiting to receive food supplies; meanwhile, they have received a donation of materials with which they are producing hundreds of masks.
