Chile - Divine Providence refectory: testimony of solidarity in times of pandemic
Iquique, Chile - May 2020 - The "Divine Providence" refectory, at the Shrine of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Iquique, serves 70 to 80 people who find themselves on the streets and families affected by the coronavirus pandemic. This social and supportive action began as early as March 2014, offering a space for meetings and lunches, where people living on the streets are treated in an affectionate and dignified way, in a Salesian style and according to the inspiration of Saint John Bosco. This action has thus allowed to continue supporting the most vulnerable people in Iquique.
