EDITORIAL
A quick look at the historical context of Don Bosco is enough to conclude that the success of his apostolic projects was due for a great part to his great capability of leadership. Exactly as today, the society of the late 19th century was going through a moment of deep social and political crisis and a crisis of values. All the borders were blending, all the structures that till that moment seemed solid were put into question and the lives of millions of people, which till that time were based on agricultural economy, were violently crumbling and, even more, were profoundly affecting the beliefs and values of people.
Many provinces are holding their Chapters these days to put into practice in their respective situations the lines of the 27th General. The reports of the meetings that reach us testify to the assiduous and constant work of the provincial communities in carrying out this task.
On Friday 8 April the Holy See published the Apostolic Exhortation "Amoris Laetitia" (AL), "The joy of love: love in the family". The document written by Pope is surprising for its beauty and style of communication.
Last weekend in the media hundreds of news items were published about the alleged death of a Salesian missionary. All the information originated from a homily in which the death of the religious was reported as certain.
