In particular, the UPS and the Guardia di Finanza, the Italian Financial and Customs Police, have undertaken to implement training courses, counseling and forms of collaboration in the field of psychology, clinical psychology, emergency psychology, psychodiagnostics and psychology of adult education.
The collaboration made official on Monday derives from the esteem and interest that the Guardia di Finanza has for scientific research proposed by the Salesian Pontifical University, as declared by the Commander General Zafarana during the ceremony.
With the Memorandum of Understanding, UPS students will be supported for the development of studies and research on issues of common interest and will be able to carry out an internship-practicing period within the GdF's various departments.
At the time of signing, prof. Fr Mauro Mantovani, Rector of the University, expressed profound satisfaction with the milestone reached, which comes precisely in the year in which the UPS celebrates 80 years since its foundation. It was thus an important step to remember the service that the University, through research and formation, is committed to providing young people, the territory and the State.
Also taking part in the ceremony, in addition to the Rector, the UPS Legal Representative, Fr Giacinto Ghioni; the Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences, prof. Fr Mario Oscar Llanos; the Director of the Institute of Psychology, prof. Fr Antonio Dellagiulia; and Prof. Cinzia Messana, Director of the Higher School of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy.
