Ghana - "Climate Chance Summit Africa 2019"
Accra, Ghana - October 2019 - The "Don Bosco Youth Network West Africa" (DBYN) is present at the international climate summit "Climate Chance Summit Africa 2019" (16-18 October), with the intervention of Abigail Fosuaa Gyabaa, on the theme of education and formation. The approximately 2,000 NGOs fighting climate change on the African continent, including local governments, companies, trade unions, environmental NGOs, male and female organizations, researchers, etc., underline the considerable commitment of Ghana and Africa in general in this field. The summit is attended by numerous high-level figures from Africa, Europe and the United Nations, including the President of the Republic of Ghana, the Special Advisor to the United Nations Secretary for Sustainable Development Goals, the ambassador of the Delegation of the European Union in Ghana, representing "DG Climate Action". Through various seminar, the summit is addressing many issues concerning agriculture, renewable energy, gender, climate finance for NGOs, nature-based solutions, education and training.
