Finland – A partner of Salesian VET is Finalist in European Alliance for Apprenticeships Awards competition

(ANS – Helsinki) – Next week, from October 14 to 18, the fourth edition of the “European Vocational Skills Week” will take place in Helsinki. Don Bosco International (DBI) joins the event with two representatives in order to contribute with the experience of the Salesians of Don Bosco, who have been active in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) of young people for over 150 years in 13 European countries. This year, for the first time, DBI was able to facilitate the candidature of a partner of Salesian VET in the competition organized by the European Alliance for Apprenticeship, of which DBI is an active member. The result of this candidature within the “Small and Medium Enterprises” category was a positive one.

The Cnos-Fap Regione Piemonte is indeed proud to announce that the company Arol spa, with which a fruitful collaboration has been ongoing for years in the development of the advanced technical specialization course "IFTS Tecnico Transfertista" at the Cnos-Fap branch in Bra, has been selected as Finalist for the awarding of the prestigious European Award VET Excellence Awards 2019 as "Best Small and Medium Enterprise, in the realization of apprenticeship courses" organized during the European Week of Vocational Training.

Within the SME category, only two companies shall compete for the prize organized by the European Alliance for Apprenticeships (EAfA):

- Limerick Strand Hotel in Paris;
- AROL s.p.a.

Aside from the possibility of winning or finishing second, the DBI believes that this candidacy and the possible awarding of prizes represent a great opportunity to make known, in an institutional context, the quality of the daily work that is carried out in close and real collaboration with businesses, with young students of the vocational education and training courses of the CFP CNOS-FAP.

The victory will be assigned, in addition to the vote expressed by the jury of technicians specially prepared, by the vote that is open online until next October 15th.
