Barbacena, Brazil - September 2019 - On September 24, the "Sacred Heart of Jesus" Novitiate of Barbacena received a visit from the General Councilor for Formation, Fr Ivo Coelho, accompanied by the Provincial of Belo Horizonte, Fr Orestes Carlinhos Fistarol. The visit began with the meeting of Fr Coelho with the novices. He listened to their experiences in relation to the stage of formation they were experiencing and encouraged them on the path of Salesian religious life. In the afternoon he visited the Salesian Center for Documentation and Research (CSDP), then met with the formation team to listen to their experiences and help them be in tune with the guidelines of the Dicastery. Fr Coelho presided over the Eucharistic celebration which was followed by a festive dinner prepared by the novices on the theme "Diversity of Brazilian culture". The visit ended on the morning of September 25th with a Mass presided by the Provincial.
