The meeting was coordinated by Fr Eusebio Muñoz, Delegate of the Rector Major for the Salesian Family, with the team of the Secretariat: Fr Giuseppe Casti, Delegate for Salesian Cooperators; Fr Joan Lluis Playà, Spiritual Assistant for Volunteers of Don Bosco (VDB) and Volunteers with Don Bosco (CDB); Fr Pierluigi Cameroni, Spiritual Animator of the Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA); and Fr Jayapalan Raphael, Delegate for the Past Pupils of Don Bosco.
The meeting's purpose was to present the figure and role of the Provincial Delegate for the Salesian Family via the sharing of various themes: "The charismatic identity card of the Salesian Family"; the vocation and mission of the laity in the Church and in the Salesian Family; the relations of the Salesian Family with Youth Ministry and Formation; the provincial and local council; the Salesian Movement.
Significant the talks and participation of several world leaders of the groups: Antonio Boccia, Coordinator of the Salesian Cooperators; Renato Valera, President of ADMA; Michal Hort, President of the Past Pupils; the Deputy Coordinator of the VDB, who made the beauty and variety of the one charisma tangible to all, especially in the ways in which it is lived and interpreted by the laity.
The visit to the Salesian Central Office was much appreciated, both for the meeting with Fr Francesco Cereda, Vicar of the Rector Major, and for the visit to the Basilica of the Sacred Heart and to the rooms of Don Bosco.
In the final sharing, the satisfaction for the meeting was unanimous, thanks to the rich experience of fraternity and knowledge; the contents proposed and discussed; the observation of the richness of life, variety and possibility present in the unique charismatic family; and, above all, for the recognition, actuality and current relevance of Don Bosco's great gift and of his charism to the Church and to society.
