Brazil - Salesian Network Brazil launches its first e-book

29 August 2018

(ANS - São Paulo) The Salesian Network Brasil (RSB), maintaining its leading role in innovations regarding communication actions, launches its first e-book: "Violence and educational shortcomings: the role of the family and educational institutions" . The book written by the Executive Director of RSB-Social, Fr Agnaldo Soares Lima, and by the PhD student in Education, Júlio Cesar Francisco, deals with the role of the family and educational institutions in cases of violence associated with educational shortcomings.

The e-book presents reflections on several situations that cause and / or reproduce the involvement of adolescents and young people with violence. It indicates, as a solution, humanized or humane actions and educational proposals that focus on affection, discipline, establishing rules and limits, and are based on the Don Bosco Preventive System.

Its purpose is to guide educational institutions and families in their commitment and struggle for a higher living condition, recognizing adolescents and young people as new generations that are rich in values and capable of conducting new relationships, even when the conditions of development and self-affirmation makes it particularly susceptible to their involvement in situations that, directly or indirectly, could lead them to face or deal with the problem of violence.

The e-book is a novelty of the RSB portal that, from now on, offers its users a new area wherein to download educational material produced by RSB. The contents can be downloaded for free.

The methodology used to structure this e-book is based on the bibliographic review and documents related to the life experience of the authors in their times lived together in a family home in the state of São Paulo - Brazil.
