Punta Arenas, Chile - April 2018 - Fr Guillermo Basañes, General Councilor for Missions, is on an extraordinary visit to the Province of Chile. The first visit took place in the Magallanes region from 2 to 4 April, where he met the areas religious community, led by Fr Vicente Soccorso, the governing Council of the San José high school and the Don Bosco Institute. He then spent time in speaking with pupils and young people belonging to the Salesian Youth Movement. On the last day Fr Basañes visited the bishop of Punta Arenas, the Salesian Msgr. Bernardo Bastres, and the community of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians.
