About 400 people are expected from the five continents and belonging to 21 groups, out of a total of 31, of the Salesian Family. In this edition, the annual event has a special meaning: it is the first year that the Spirituality Days take place in Turin, where Don Bosco gave the first message to his spiritual children, the message that over time took on the name of "Strenna".
The activities will begin on Thursday afternoon at the Teatro di Valdocco, with the welcome of the 10th Successor of Don Bosco, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, and the greetings of his Delegate for the Salesian Family, Fr Eusebio Muñoz. Fr Á.F. After prayer, Fr Artime will present the Strenna 2018: "Lord, give me this water (Jn 4:15). We cultivate the Art of Listening and Accompaniment."
In the following two days, three reports and three experiences will be presented. Sr. Paola Casalis, FMA religious, presents the first: "Listening to the young"; Fr Juan Crespo, SDB, will discuss the theme: "Discernment and decision in accompaniment"; and Fr Michal Vojtas, SDB, shall illustrate, "The Salesian art of encounter, accompaniment and discernment."
As for the experiences at the event, "Accompanied to accompany" will be the title of a talk by Sebastiano Coticelli and Titta Boccia, of the 'Testimoni del Risorto' group, followed by Alejandro Sanz and Pili Lance, of the Spanish Salesian Youth Ministry, on "Formation as animators." The last paper focusses on a single issue:" How do the young of the Salesian Family feel listened to and accompanied?"
On Saturday evening, 20 January, for the 150th anniversary of the consecration of the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians in Turin (1868-2018), participants will be able to participate in a special musical evening.
On Sunday, Fr Á.F. Artime presides at the Sunday Eucharist in the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians, which can be watched live on Telepace, and will conclude work with a summary of the experiences of the three preceding days.
All the main events will be broadcast live on the Facebook page of the iNfo Salesian News Agency FB page: https://www.facebook.com/agenziaans
