Belgium - Youths from across Europe in European Parliament

Brussels, Belgium - November 2017 - On November 20, children and teenagers from all over Europe entered the European Parliament, welcomed under the auspices of the President, Antonio Tajani, to dialogue with MEPs, the European Commissioner and other important representatives of the European institutions on the theme: 'The Europe we want'. The event, also attended by the President of Malta, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, and other senior officials, took place on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and was organized the Parliamentary Intergroup on Children's Rights, with the support of "Eurochild" and UNICEF, alongside the direct involvement of a delegation of children convened by Eurochild and UNICEF. "Don Bosco International" (DBI) was also present as an active member of Eurochild, wherein it has already involved the participation of children from Salesian houses in previous similar initiatives.
