The first, at 9:30 pm, takes place in the parish church of "Santa Maria della Speranza", adjacent to the university campus, with the Eucharistic concelebration presided by Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians and UPS Grand Chancellor.
The second event takes place at the UPS Paolo VI Hall where , following the Rector's report, Fr Mauro Mantovani will celebrate the Eucharist, after which Professors Alessandra Smerilli and Luigino Bruni will be discussing a paper entitled "Listening and Walking. Educating oneself and others to new lifestyles."
Following a musical interlude, the session will continue to include the consignment of medals to emeritus professors and awards of merit to outstanding students.
Finally, the Grand Chancellor will proclaim the opening of the new Academic Year.
