Rome, Italy - October 2017 – Taking place from 3 to 5 October was the annual meeting of the national teams of Salesian Social Work and Service Centers for young people at risk of marginalization of Spain (Plataformas Sociales), Italy (Salesians for Social Work - SCS) Portugal (Salesian Solidarity Services), and the Mediterranean Region with the presence of Don Bosco International (DBI) and the Youth Ministry Dicastery. The meeting of the 22 participants is coordinated by SCS and aims: to share good practices and novelties with the teams, increased synergy in the region. The meeting also envisaged a visit to the social centers of Rome: "Project of the Sacred Heart", which welcomes migrants and families at risk, and "Borgo Ragazzi Don Bosco" with its daytime center, welcome home, Vocational Training Center, family programs and many others activities... The Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, in his opening address, urged the participants to continue in their process of collaboration in favor of the young and, especially, the most needy.
