Slovakia - A Conference to present the Salesian reading of the Servant of God Titus Zeman

Žilina, Slovakia - January 19th, 2017 – On January 19th, the Salesian Province of Slovakia (SLK) organised a conference on the Servant of God Fr. Titus Zeman SDB, who died in jail because of the tortures inflicted on him by the Czechoslovak communist regime. All the rectors of the Salesian houses of the SLK Province, as well as Salesians and members of the Salesian Family participated in this conference. The speakers, invited by Fr. Jozef Ižold, SLK Provincial, were Dr. Lodovica Maria Zanet, author of the Positio of the Servant of God, who presented a Salesian reading of his life and martyrdom; Mrs  Helena Barátová, who illustrated the procedures of the process of beatification; Salesian Cooperator Anton Horváth, who gave a witness of the grace received through the intercession of Zeman. The process of beatification of the Servant of God is at the final point of the Roman stage. In the ordinary Session of Cardinals and Bishops members of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, next February 21st, they will pronounce their opinion with regard to the martyrdom of the Servant of God Titus Zeman.
