(ANS – Paris) – In exactly one month, on May 17, 2025, Camille Costa de Beauregard will be beatified in the cathedral of Chambéry. Though this priest from Savoy never belonged to the Salesian Society of St. Francis de Sales, his cause for beatification was supported by the Department of Salesian Postulation. But what’s his connection to the Salesians of Don Bosco?
(ANS - Rome) – The Salesian Historical Institute (ISS), through its “Studi” series, has recently published a unique and groundbreaking book: “Salesians in the Holy Land. From Fr. Belloni’s Work to the British Mandate (1863–1920)” — the first in-depth study ever conducted on the early Salesian presence in the Holy Land.
(ANS - Rome) – For the second consecutive year, the Salesian Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Rome—located just across from the city’s main train station and part of the same complex that houses the Salesian Headquarters—joined the diocesan Caritas initiative, “Via Crucis of the Invisible.”

Spain – Easter 2025, the Witness of Salesian Brotherhoods: “It Is the Lord Who Shows Us the Way”
(ANS – Valencia) – During Holy Week, countless sacred events take place across the world, especially in countries with deep Christian roots. These events, shaped by diverse traditions, aim to bring the faithful closer to the mystery of Christ’s Passion, Death, and Resurrection. In Spain, many brotherhoods (confraternities) keep this popular form of spirituality alive. On this Holy Thursday, we hear from Inmaculada Pérez Pizarro, a Salesian Cooperator from Algeciras and, for about a year now, the coordinator of Salesian confraternities in the Salesian Province of Spain–Mary Help of Christians (SMX).

THE MESSAGE OF THE VICAR OF THE RECTOR MAJOR, Fr Stefano Martoglio
To celebrate a General Chapter in one place or in some other place is not an indifferent matter. Certainly, being at Valdocco, in the "cradle of the charism", we have the opportunity to rediscover the beginnings of our history and rediscover the originality that constitutes the heart of our identity as consecrated persons and apostles to the young.
