The course for Salesian Provincials, coordinated by Fr Stefano Martoglio, Vicar of the Rector Major, and organised by Fr Patrick Anthonyraj, is attended by

- Fr Aurélien Mukangwa, Superior of the Africa-Congo Congo (ACC) Vice-Province;
- Fr Victor Luís Sequeira Gutiérrez, Superior of the Angolan Vice-Province (ANG).
Due to For technical reasons, the Superiors of BMA and ILE have yet to arrive in Rome, but regular activities have already begun.
The busy programme of activities will allow the Provincials to gain direct knowledge of the relevant legal elements in their service, the characteristics of the task of animation and governance of the Province, the foundations of identity and religious discipline, the work that takes place at the central level in the different Sectors at Salesian Headquarters.
After the first evening of presentation and introduction to the work, the programme officially opened on the morning of Monday, 10 June, with a talk from the Rector Major, Card. Á.F. Artime, who explained to the Provincials the path taken by the 28th General Chapter and prospects for the 29th General Chapter.
In the coming days, the formation continues in the various appointments and talks with the Vicar of the Rector Major, Fr Martoglio, with the Sector Councillors, Fr Ivo Coelho (Formation), Fr Miguel Angel García Morcuende (Youth Ministry), Fr Gildasio Mendes (Social Communication), Fr Alfred Maravilla (Missions) and Br. Jean Paul Muller (Economy), as well as with those in charge of other central services of the Congregation, such as the Secretariat for the Salesian Family, the Salesian General Postulation. The Central Archives, the Salesian Historical Institute and the Salesian History Association...
The entire setup for the formation and orientation course aims to promote an integral care of the provincial as an individual – in his spiritual, pastoral, physical health... These aspects are also seen to through opportunities for individual dialogue between the various Superiors with the Rector Major, as well as in times of shared spirituality and Salesian fraternity.
The formation part of the course will end on Saturday 21 June with the final sharing and dialogue with the Rector Major. Nevertheless, all the Provincials will continue to share with the General Council over the following days, concludingtheir appointment on 24 June, the Feast of St John the Baptist, Don Bosco's name day and, by tradition, also an opportunity to pay tribute to his successors for the service rendered – in this case, it will be the feast of thanksgiving and farewell to Card. Á.F. Artime for his ten-year service as Rector Major.
