India – Nitika Don Bosco hosts a workshop on corporate social responsibility

Calcutta, India – March 2024 – Nitika Don Bosco in Calcutta hosted a workshop on 1 March on corporate social responsibility (CSR), which attracted a total of 80 aspiring funders from Kolkata and neighbouring districts. The program, organised by Bosconet India in collaboration with the Planning and Development Office of the Salesian Province of Calcutta, India, was attended by numerous members of the Conference of Religious of India. Also present for the occasion was Nikhil Pant, from the LAKSHYA Foundation, who, as the former head of a program of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs of the Indian Government, explained the elements that companies require from partner NGOs for the financing of any project. Pant then encouraged Bosconet to create a Centre of Excellence for CSR, which can provide support and coordination at the local level.
