India - Children’s Conclave 2024

Children’s conclave 2024 was conducted in Don Bosco college Sulthan Bathery, on 18 February 2024 in the college auditorium. The Children’s Conclave was a platform for discussion on various topics such as rights given to students, devaluation of education, challenges faced by justice system, safety of children in buses, problems faced by tribal students, gender violence, equality, role of media, etc. 

High Court Chief Justice Ashish Jitendra Desai opened the Children’s Conclave online. Various other dignitaries affiliated to legal sectors were present for the day’s event. A comprehensive analysis was also done on human animal conflict, street dog harassment, drug abuse, legal protection of students, POCSO case, role of artificial intelligence in justice system. More than 700 students from higher secondary schools of the district participated in the conclave. The Children’s Conclave was organised by the State Legal Service Authority, District Legal Service Authority and Don Bosco College with the aim of ensuring the awareness of rights in children today for the future generations.

The conclave ended in the afternoon after having congratulating the guests of honour, organisers and the schools which participated in this stellar venture of offering the students a platform to echo their concerns and worries.
