Mexico - Salesian Family Spirituality Days in Southern Mexico
Tlanepantla, Mexico – January 2024 – On the occasion of the Salesian Family Spirituality Days celebrated in Turin, with live broadcasts around the world, the Salesian Family in Southern Mexico, in order to be able to follow them, organised a meeting in person at the Ángela Segovia de Serrano Salesian college and virtually through Zoom and Facebook. The event was convened by Fr Juan Aarón Cerezo Huerta, SDB, and Sister Adriana Dávila Ortega FMA, both Delegates for the Salesian Family in Southern Mexico. During the days, the participants reflected on the theme of the Rector Major's Strenna 2024, together with Fr Joan Lluís Playà, Central Delegate of the Rector Major for the Secretariat for the Salesian Family; an ecological living Rosary was recited; they reflected on the theme "The beauty of the Salesian Family" with the videos of Sister Lucrecia Uribe. On 21 January, a virtual meeting was held with the Rector Major, who shared the theme of Strenna 2024, providing a space for questions and answers. The conclusions of the Conference were presented by Sister Adriana Dávila Ortega FMA, closing the work with the Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr. Ignacio Ocampo and concelebrated by all the priests present. The groups involved were SDB, FMA, ASC, ADMA, VDB and CDB, a total of 90 participants in person and 75 virtually connected.
