Spain – The Salesians present their vocation campaign for 2024: "You call us to live your dream"

09 January 2024

(ANS – Madrid) – At the beginning of the new year, and with the feast of Don Bosco already on the horizon, the Salesians in Spain present their 2024 vocation campaign: an educative and pastoral proposal that intends to continue promoting and consolidating an authentic vocational culture in all the houses of the two Salesian Provinces in the country – the St James the Greater Province (SSM), based in Madrid, and the Mary Help of Christians Province (SMX), based in Seville.

As part of the pastoral campaign "A dream for you", valid for 2023-2024, the vocation campaign is now presented, under the motto "You call us to live your dream" (Nos llamas a vivir tu sueño). The biblical image of the Gospel of Luke (Lk 2:41 -52) and the words of Pope Francis in Christus Vivit shed light on the proposal and the call to live the dream that God has for each of us.

Those responsible for Vocation Ministry in Salesian Spain’s two Provinces, Fr José Carlos Sobejano and Fr Jordi Lleixà, hope that the vocation campaign "will be publicised" and spread and be able to reach every corner of the Salesian houses.

What is God’s dream for the world? The campaign promotional video starts with this question. And in a world full of challenges, the courageous response of young people is expected to realise God’s dream.

On the social pages of the Salesians in Spain (X, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube), you can find other motivational resources about the campaign.

The campaign also has a series of materials that allow one to explore the theme. The common goal of all these resources is to provide those in charge of the different Salesian settings and Salesian Family Groups with useful tools to undertake activities aimed at consolidating a culture of vocation.
