Porto Velho, Brazil - December 2023 - Children and adolescents from the Salesian Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, in Porto Velho, State of Rondônia, belonging to the Salesian Province of Brazil-Manaus (BMA), carried out a campaign in the parish community to collect toys for other children served by the Centro Social Madre Mazzarello social work of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians. The social work serves around 300 children from the outskirts of Porto Velho. The children and adolescents involved in the parish's social work belong to the Missionary Childhood group, which was set up for concrete missionary actions as part of their parish catechesis. The toys collected will be donated to the FMA oratory at the work.
