Addis Ababa, Ethiopia - December 2023 - On 11 December, the Italian Government's Minister for Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara, visited the Salesian "Bosco Children" work in Addis Ababa, which belongs to the Africa Ethiopia-Eritrea (AET) Vice-Province. During the visit, the Minister, accompanied by Agostino Palese, Italian Ambassador to Ethiopia, encouraged the Salesians in what they are doing at "Bosco Children" for the city's less privileged children. Both were pleasantly surprised by the great work carried out by the Salesians in Addis Ababa. They spent a lot of time with the children at the centre, talking to them and encouraging them to pursue their goals through education. Also present at the visit were Salesians Brother Cesare Bullo and Fr Dino Viviani.
