Cayambe, Ecuador - December 2023 - On Monday 4 December, Salesian Fr Javier Herrán received an award from the Prefecture of Pichincha for his service and work for the benefit of the communities and territories of the Province. This recognition was presented by Paola Pabón, Prefect, together with the main authorities of the Department. Fr Herrán was accompanied by Fr Juan Flores, Vice-Provincial of the Salesian Province of Ecuador; Archbishop Alfredo Espinoza, SDB, archbishop of Quito; Salesian Brother Antonio García and members of the indigenous communities of Cayambe, who testified to the work carried out for the people.
