Spain - Salesian schools in the Mary Help of Christians Province delve into key elements of management

Madrid, Spain - November 2023 - The seventh meeting of Salesian school directors from Spain's Mary Help of Christians Province (SMX) was held in Madrid on 21, 22 and 23 November to work on the key elements of management. The event, accompanied by Fr Óscar Bartolomé, National Coordinator of Salesian Schools, and Fr Jordi Lleixà, Delegate for Youth Ministry for the SMX Province, was attended by more than 100 people from the various Salesian schools in the Province. Fr. Miguel Canino, Provincial Coordinator of SMX Schools, presented the motivation for the meeting and shared its significance in which the Salesian network, comprising 59 schools with more than 50,000 students, 3,000 teachers and 600 members of administration and service personnel, is represented. Highlights of the days included: reflection on "First Announcement" in Schools, along with key elements for evangelisation; reflections on the upcoming Provincial Chapter, presented by Fr Fernando Miranda, SMX Provincial, along with the Vivce-Provincial, Fr José Luis Navarro; presentation of the new structure of the Schools and information and presentations on various projects; managerial vision of the economy in the Schools, led by Rafa Escamilla, and on the strategic vision of communication, led by the Delegation team. The meeting concluded in Atocha where participants celebrated the Eucharist and took part in the graduation ceremony for the promotion of specialised courses in Educational Centre Management and Pastoral Coordination.
