Thiès, Senegal – November 2023 – On the evening of Tuesday, 14 November, Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians, landed in Thiès, Senegal, to begin his Animation Visit to the Our Lady of Peace Province of North West Africa (AON). Welcoming him at the airport were the Provincial of AON, Fr Jesus Bénoît Badji, his Vice-Provincial, Fr Emmanuel Thera, the Delegate for Senegal, Guinea and the Gambia, Fr Franck Ametepe, some members of the Provincial Council, the Salesians from the works in Dakar, Thiès and Tambacounda, and a large delegation of young people and members of the local Salesian Family.
