Montreal, Canada - October 2023 - On Sunday 8 October, a Mass of Thanksgiving was celebrated for the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Don Bosco Youth Leadership Centre (DBYLC). A particularly appropriate Mass because in Canada it was Thanksgiving weekend, a time of gratitude to God. "When we look back over 25 years, our greatest source of pride and gratitude is that the original mission of the DBYLC has been fulfilled" the institute says. The founders' vision was for the DBYLC to attempt to replicate what Don Bosco did in Turin, Italy, by ensuring that young people knew they were loved, and guided to become upright citizens and true Christians. Although the world has changed since the DBYLC was founded, the institute has never stopped forming upright citizens and true Christians, and will continue to do so in the years to come.
