Haiti – Visit of the Economer General, Bro. Jean Paul Muller
Cap Haitien, Haiti – September 2023 - Salesian Brother Jean Paul Muller, Economer General of the Salesian Congregation, is visiting the Salesian Vice-Province of Haiti (HAI) from 10 to 14 September. On 11 September, during his visit to the Fondation Vincent in Cap-Haitien, Haiti's second city, Bro. Jean Paul Muller made all those present feel the closeness of the Salesian Congregation and the vitality of Don Bosco's charism. The Economer General arrived at the Fondation Vincent around 10pm, accompanied by Fr Morachel Bonhomme, Superior of the HAI Vice-Province, after a difficult journey on a very bumpy road. "In this regard we praise Bro. Muller's courage. He made a great sacrifice to be with us" the Salesians said. In a very family-like atmosphere, he shared with us the joys and concerns of the Congregation. He also confided in us his concerns about the catastrophic situation in our country." Fr Lephène Pierre, rector of the Fondation Vincent work, presented Bro- Muller with the community's economic challenges and prospective projects. The Economer General then visited the young people at Saint John Bosco College, and gave them useful advice for their success in studies and in life. He then visited the young people at risk at Lakay-Lakou, the work that deals with Don Bosco's favourites, founded by Fr Attilio Stra. "We sincerely thank Bro. Jean Paul Muller for his closeness and his family spirit" the Salesians concluded.
