12 September 2023

Philippines – September 2023 – On 5 September, 21 catechists were sent into the world as evangelisers and proclaimers of the faith. 13 graduates of the two-year course of the Evangelium Program and, for the first time in the history of the Don Bosco Training Center, 8 graduates of the four-year Degree Course in Religious Education and Pastoral Communication received their Missio Canonica. The liturgical celebration was presided over by Bishop Midyphil Bermejo Billones, Auxiliary Bishop of Cebu, Philippines, and concelebrated by Fr Amelito Narciso Racelis, Vice-Provincial of the Province of the Southern Philippines (FIS), together with other Salesians of the Don Bosco Formation Center. In the homily, the Bishop urged graduates to become catechists and missionaries, teaching the Catholic faith not only through words and actions, but by the example of their own lives.
