The five-week course is made up of different nuclei: the ecclesiological nucleus consists of guided reflections and visits to the sites of Saints Paul and Peter in Rome, to which must be added also the participation in the Papal Audience. In the first week of September, the new missionaries will move to Colle Don Bosco for the other nuclei. Fr Cordeiro continues: "The anthropological nucleus includes, among others, reflections on culture, and culture shock; while the missiological nucleus deals with important missiological themes; and, finally, the charismatic nucleus consists of guided reflections and visits to Salesian holy places in Piedmont".
The Orientation Course is led by the Missions Sector team and other invited speakers. It will conclude on 24 September, when the 24 members of the 154th Salesian Missionary Expedition will receive the missionary cross from the Rector Major in the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians, Turin.
