On the first day, following the welcome to all participants and establishment of a fraternal atmosphere, the guiding theme of the meeting was framed from a biblical perspective, thanks to a reflection offered by Fr Fabio Rosini through an online meeting focused on Jesus as communicator. After an appropriate time for personal reflection, Fr Franco di Natale offered the traditional thought of the Salesian goodnight, which was followed by a fraternal agape.
The second day opened with the Eucharist celebrated by the ISI Provincial, Fr Giovanni d 'Andrea, and continued with two key sessions led by Fr Gildasio Mendes. The focus in the morning was based on a report entitled "Evangelising and Educating: the new digital languages", on the key elements of communication as a language that fully involves the human person: senses, intellect and emotions, starting from the parallel between communication and art. In the afternoon, he gave an address on "Communication and Consecration. The Salesian and the network." The fundamental idea came from the characteristics that communication must have when it becomes a means of evangelisation.
An original approach this time was through workshops which encouraged the participants to ask themselves, on the basis of their own experience, how to live the evangelising dimension in today's world of social communications.
The final day is dedicated to a frank and open dialogue between young Salesians and the Provincial Delegates for Youth Ministry, Vocational Animation and Social Communication. This will be followed by the Eucharistic celebration, in which some of the participants make their renewal of vows.
The event ends, finally, with a guided tour of the city's regional museum, a moment in which to further touch on how art and beauty have been and continue to be a form of communication in humanity that transcends time and space.
