Haverstraw, United States– August 2023 – After three weeks of orientation, the 2023 Salesian Lay Missionaries (SLM) were commissioned on 15 August at the Don Bosco Retreat Centre in Haverstraw. Fr Dominic Tran Danh Cong, SUE Provincial, presided over the rite and gave a short homily on the blessings bestowed on the Salesian Lay Missionaries. The eight missionaries are destined for Cambodia, Mexico, Bolivia, East Timor, Mongolia and Tampa, Florida.
