These are just some of the questions that Sister Elena Massimi, Daughter of Mary Help of Christians, professor of Sacramental Theology and Liturgy, Head of the Music Section of the National Sacred Liturgy Office in the Italian Bishops' Conference (CEI), and President of the Association of Professors of Liturgy, will try to answer. What will emerge is a frank and profound dialogue on the pastoral potential of the Liturgy and the labors that those who want to be educators of young people following in the footsteps of Don Bosco are called to face.
These are the basic outlines and key focus of the sixth and final meeting next Saturday, April 15, from 9 to 10:15 a.m., on the Salesian Italy Facebook page and on the Southern Italy Province's YouTube channel.
The meeting is part of the cycle "Which Salesians for the Today's Youth?" and explores the second line of the Rector Major after the 28th General Chapter (In a Congregation where we are invited by "DA MIHI ANIMAS, CETERA TOLLE"). This month's theme of in-depth study, specifically, is: "Being educators in dialogue with God in the celebration of the sacraments."
These moments of ongoing formation are promoted by the Conference of the Provinces of Italy (CISI) - Formation Sector and the Study Center of the Work of Living Tabernacles, which also promoted the two previous rounds of interviews and discussions: the one on the third programmatic line delivered by the Rector Major after the 28th General Chapter (To live the "SALESIAN SACRAMENT OF PRESENCE"), in the 2020-2021 edition; and the one on the first programmatic line, dedicated to Salesian identity (SALESIAN OF DON BOSCO FOR FOREVER. 6-years to grow in Salesian identity), in the 2021-2022 edition.
