Keezhmadu, India – march 2023 – The community of Don Bosco Seminary, Keezhmadu, witnessed the graduation ceremony of the final year students of philosophy belonging to 2021-23 batch on 24th March, 2023 in all its pomp and glory. The valedictory function began at 9:15 am with a solemn procession of the graduates along with the dignitaries of the day. After the prayer song by the first year students of philosophy, Fr. Gnanaprakash Dilip SDB, the Principal of the Seminary, welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr. Shalbin Kalanchery SDB, the Vice-Provincial of the Sacred Heart Province, Bangalore, the chief guest of the day, delivered the keynote address. In his speech, Fr. Shalbin congratulated the graduates for their two years of hard work in intellectual pursuit and reminded them that the completion of philosophical studies is a point of departure to serve the young with all their learnings as effective practical trianees. He also awarded the diploma to the 27 graduates (17 from INK, 8 from INN and 2 from the Diocese of Thuckalay). Fr. Joy Kaipan SDB, the Rector of the Seminary, felicitated the graduates and handed over the academic proficiency awards to six students who secured distinction with 80% and above. This results of this year are as follows: Distinction - 6, First Class - 17, Second Class - 3 and Third Class - 1. Graduation day concluded with the College Anthem and Photo Session.
