As has become a tradition of the Council meetings that are held in presence, in addition to carrying out activities proper to the Council, two moments of formation were also held, animated by the World Delegates of the Salesians and the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians for the Association, respectively Salesian coadjutor Br. Duc Nam Nguyen and Sister Lucrecia Uribe.
In the first moment, they reflected personally and as a group on the report, presented by Dr. Pierluigi Dovis, Director of Caritas Diocesana of Turin, during the roundtable discussion held in the Salesian Family Spirituality Days held in Valdocco last January 12-15.
The Council then visited the Basilica of the Sacred Heart to learn about particular aspects of Don Bosco's presence in Rome.
There was also the participation of Maria Rita Scrimieri, Coordinator of the Study Center "Opera dei Tabernacoli Viventi," who presented the figure of Vera Grita, Salesian Cooperator, whose cause for canonization is underway.
With the conduct of the other moments by Antonio Boccia, World Coordinator of the Association of SSCCs, the Council began to elaborate the theme and the course of the next triennium 2023-2026 in preparation for the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Holy See's approval of the Association of Salesian Cooperators, as well as beginning to think about the VI World Congress.
After communications from Carlo Pellegrino, Secretary, and Raul Abad Fernandez, Administrator, the work of the World Council was concluded, and on March 19 it participated in the Angelus in St. Peter's Square, receiving a greeting from Pope Francis.
The current Council during 2022 was practically all renewed. Present were:
