The event, whose motto is "Like Br. Zatti, let us not leave to tomorrow the good we can do today," is expected to be attended by thousands of faithful and devotees.
Activities begin early Saturday afternoon: at 2:30 p.m. local time, the Rector Major shall arrive in front of the "Don Bosco" parish in Viedma, and receive a festive welcome on Ituzaingó Boulevard. Afterwards, at 5 p.m., a conference and meeting with the Salesian Family and pilgrims will take place at the Municipal Cultural Center. At 7:3 p.m., in Viedma Cathedral, the Rector Major shall participate in a solemn Eucharistic Concelebration. And the first of two days of tribute to the "relative of all the poor" will conclude at the "Zatti" Institute with a prayer vigil and a youth party that also include several testimonies.
On Sunday, March 19, the program features three central moments: at 8:30 a.m., a moment of prayer in the courtyard of the old "San Francisco" institute (next to the Cathedral of Viedma) begins; from there it will proceed with the pilgrimage proper, during which the 10th Successor of Don Bosco, the ordinary bishop of Viedma, Salesian Esteban Laxague, and a multitude of faithful and devotees will accompany the urn containing the relics of Br. Zatti to the "Don Bosco" parish; finally, at 11 a.m., on the square in front of the parish church, the celebrations will reach their climax with the celebration of the Sunday Eucharist.
After this new tribute to the first Salesian coadjutor saint, which takes on even more relevance because it was accomplished in the city of Viedma, the Rector Major will begin the Visitation of the America South Cone Region starting on Monday, March 20, in Buenos Aires.
