(ANS - Vatican City) - The Holy See Press Office announced today, March 15, 2023, that the Secretary General of the Synod, Card. Mario Grech, in accordance with Art. 10, pars. 1-2 of the Apostolic Constitution Episcopalis Communio, has established and will chair the Preparatory Commission for the realization of the XVI Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops. Among those appointed is Don Bosco Salesian Bishop Timothy Costelloe, Archbishop of Perth, Australia.
The other members of the said commission are:
- Fr. Giacomo Costa, SJ (coordinator);
- Msgr. Daniel E. Flores;
- Sr. Shizue Hirota, MMB;
- Msgr. Lucio A. Muandula;
- Prof. Dario Vitali;
- Msgr. Tomasz Trafny (secretary).
Also participating in the work of the Commission will be the General Rapporteur of the XVI Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, Card. Jean-Claude Hollerich, SJ.
