Da Lat, Vietnam - March 2023 - The "Don Bosco Community" of Da Lat organized a youth camp entitled "The Zeal of Youth" on 4 and 5 March to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the death of St. Francis de Sales (ed.'s note: 28 December 2022). About 360 young people from 12 parishes and works attended the event accompanied by about 50 volunteers: SDB, FMA, aspirants, university students, and Salesian collaborators. In the atrium of the Pastoral House, the Director of the community expressed his pleasure in welcoming the young people attending the camp. He discussed the figure of St Francis de Sales and explained the history of the Salesians to them. After a common prayer, the tents were set up and the young people competed in many exciting and attractive games. After dinner, the youngsters were led in praying the Rosary at the football pitch with the traditional Salesian 'good night'. On 5 March, after Mass, Fr. John the Baptist Pham Hong Phuoc shared the theme "The ability to work as a team", followed by another round of competitions.
