Munich, Germany - February 2023 - The annual meeting of Provincial Delegates for Youth Ministry of Europe, led by Fr. Miguel Angel García Morcuende, General Councilor for Youth Ministry, concludes today, February 10. Since Feb. 6, at the Salesian Work in Munich, 25 Delegates from the various Salesian Provinces of Europe, together with Fr. García Morcuende and other Salesians from the Sector, have been addressing various themes inherent to the strategic areas of the Salesian mission in the area of pastoral animation with and for young people. The discussion covered all areas, from vocational, missionary, and social animation and the Salesian Youth Movement to Schools, Vocational Training, Universities, Parishes, and Youth Centers. The proximity of World Youth Day (WYD) Lisbon 2023 was one of the cross-cutting issues, both in the presentation of concrete content on the logistics of hosting and the SYM Festival and in informal talks. There is much involvement of the various countries in the event's preparation and great expectations for the date to come. Very much a family atmosphere, the time of community prayer, meals, and recreation offers a rich Salesian sharing and an opportunity to strengthen the vocational option in fulfilling Salesian charismatic greatness and vitality in every corner of Europe.
