Unlike the previous composition, which was meditative and melodic, this one is more suitable for moments of animation, thanks to its joyful rhythm and a short, incisive, and impactful versification: in this way, it intends to impart dynamism to the music and to the spiritual message, inherent in the "leaven" aroused by the Spirit, which spreads and brings life.
“Siamo Uniti - Nell’ Amore – seminati da Lui - Nell’Amore- Pasta Viva - Che fermenta - Regno che cresce fuori e dentro noi!”
("We are United - In Love - Sown by Him - In Love - Living dough - That ferments - Kingdom that’s growing outside and inside us!")
These are the words written, not coincidentally, in the bridge and coda of the text of the passage, taking up one of the most significant expressions of the document drafted by the Rector Major.
The blues style, moreover, is a "secular" musical genre that arose in the African American context as a reaction to discrimination, but it was also "sacred" as it guaranteed the existence of an authentic and spontaneous form of prayer, not formally institutional, for people of color. It is, therefore, a further way to emphasize the communion of a path, or journey, and intentions of human fraternity, through a musical genre that very soon crossed the boundaries of its initial context to become universally recognized.
Besides Fr. Palazzo, (music, lyrics, arrangement collaboration), the song is also indebted to the efforts of several other people who generously put their talents to good use: Paolo Guercio, (arrangement of the musical base, final mixing, rendering); Luca Ferrera (recording, vocal mixing); Francesca Incardona, soloist, supported by the voices of Rossella Incardona, Francesca Rosa and Federico Cucinella (who also edited the video accompanying the performance). With the professional presence of Alessio Boschiazzo, (jazz drummer, and concert artist) it was made possible to perform the song live on the final night of SFSD.
The songwriter also wished to thank, for making it possible, the Rector Major, Fr. Ángel Fernández Artime, the Rector Major's Delegate for the Secretariat for the Salesian Family, Fr. Joan Lluís Playà, and the coordinator of SFSD 2023, Fr. Alejandro Guevara, World Spiritual Animator of the Association of Mary Help of Christians (ADMA).
