El Salvador - Promise of 14 new Salesian Cooperators
Santa Tecla, El Salvador - January 2023 - On the occasion of the Feast of Laura Vicuña, Jan. 22, the Association of Salesian Cooperators of El Salvador celebrated the promise of 14 new members from the centers: Don Rua, Don Bosco, Ricaldone, Santa Cecilia and the "Mamma Margarita" formation center. The ceremony was held in the Mary Help of Christians Chapel of the "Santa Cecilia" Institute in Santa Tecla, presided over by Fr. René Santos, Provincial Vicar and Delegate for the Salesian Family of the Salesian Province of Central America (CAM), and concelebrated by Fr. David Panezo, SSCC National Delegate. The pledge was welcomed by Provincial Coordinator, Sandra Cáceres. The celebration was attended by several members of the Salesian Family, Salesian Cooperators, aspirants from different centers, family members, and friends. After the Eucharist, the presentation of pins, diplomas and the signing of the respective local and national registers took place. The celebration ended with an agape moment, where the National Delegate for the Salesian Family, Fr. Miguel Alfaro, addressed a message to those present. The Salesian Cooperators in El Salvador have five active centers and one formation center.
