Italy – Three multimedia meetings with as many Regional Councilors: from Turin with an eye on the world

(ANS - Turin) - In view of the Feast Day of St. John Bosco this Jan. 31, the spiritual cradle of the Salesian world, the Mary Help of Christians Shrine-Basilica in Turin, has organized a series of three meetings with as many members of the General Council of the Salesian Congregation to make known the dream that from Turin has become a reality all over the world. Starting today, January 25, 2023, for three consecutive afternoons, in fact, it will be possible to listen to the Regional Councilors of South Cone America, Africa-Madagascar and South Asia present the Salesian reality in their respective territories of competence, including history, current events, challenges and perspectives.

This mini-cycle of appointments, made at the initiative of the Rector of the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians, Fr. Michele Viviano, opens today, Wednesday, Jan. 25, with a meeting with Fr. Héctor Gabriel Romero, Regional Councilor for South Cone America.

Tomorrow, Thursday, Jan. 26, it shall be Fr. Alphonse Owoudou, Regional Councilor for Africa-Madagascar.

While, finally, on Friday, Jan. 27, the speaker will be Fr. Biju Michael, Regional Councilor for South Asia.

All three appointments will last approximately one hour, beginning at 6:30 p.m. local time (UTC+1). It will be possible to attend the meetings both in presence, at the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians in Turin, and for interested members of the Salesian Family from around the world, also digitally, thanks to the live streaming that in collaboration with the Social Communication Delegation of the Special Circumscription of Piedmont and Aosta Valley will be made on the ANS Facebook page.
