Kigali, Rwanda - January 2023 - On Saturday, January 7, at the "Don Bosco-IFAK Kimihurura" center, the Strenna 2023 by Rector Major, Fr Ángel Fernández Artime, "AS THE LEAVEN IN TODAY'S HUMAN FAMILY. The Lay Dimension in the Family of Don Bosco," in the presence of the Salesian Family of the Africa Great Lakes Vice-Province (AGL). The event began with a prayer, which was followed by an explanatory and in-depth session on the theme of the Strenna by Fr. Raymond Bavumiragiye, AGL Vicar, who said, "We are all called to be the leaven of our centers" to provide a lifeline to the youth of today. Afterward, the Strenna 2023 video was screened, followed by a question-and-answer session. The event concluded with Mass presided over by Fr. Pierre Celestin Ngoboka, AGL Superior, who stressed that the Rector Major's Strenna must become leaven in today's human family.
