Zatti, photographs in the spotlight
The Salesian Historical Archive of the "Blessed Zeffirino Namuncurá" Province of Southern Argentina (ARS), at its headquarters in the city of Bahía Blanca, in the south of the Province of Buenos Aires, preserves most of the original photographs of Artemide Zatti, many catalogued on the occasion of his beatification, celebrated in 2002. The archive also holds letters, publications, and other items from Zatti's daily life.
The oldest photograph is one that depicts his family in 1899, in the town of Bernal. It shows Artemide Zatti, then 19 years old, with his parents and seven siblings. The last photograph, however, is in portrait form, and is from 1948, three years before his death.
A selection of these photographs is available on the website dedicated to the canonization of Artemide Zatti: https://zatti.org/media.
