Castelnuovo Don Bosco, Italy – September 2022 - This week the Course for New Missionaries begins its final phase of preparation before the missionary send-off next September 25 in the Basilica of Mary help of Christians at Valdocco. This spiritual nucleus is the final spiritual preparation before the giving of the missionary cross. The morning is spent on Lectio Divina on relevant Scripture texts for missionary life guided by Fr. Alfred Maravilla, General Councillor for missions. The whole morning is spent for personal prayer and reflection. Animated by all members of the Missions Sector team, the afternoon is a guided visit to Salesian holy places: Capriglio, Mondonio, Castelnuovo, Chieri, Mornese and Valdocco. This experience in enriched by the participation of the participants of Missionary Pastoral Ministry course at the Salesian Pontifical University (UPS), Rome.
