To carry out this task efficiently and effectively, Job Service Officers need the necessary tools and skills. Therefore, in recent days, Don Bosco Tech Africa, in collaboration with the Institut de la Francophonie pour l’Education et la Formation (IFEF), organized a five-day workshop for them.
IFEF has developed an application, which will make it easy to track employment data. At the opening of the workshop, participants immediately stressed that they were eager to learn how to use it as soon as possible.
In his opening remarks, Fr. George TJ, Executive Director of Don Bosco Tech Africa (DBTA), reminded the participants that they will spearhead the implementation of this application in VTCs. He emphasized that this application will provide all the necessary data on the graduates and give information on the effectiveness of the vocational training being offered to the youth. He also expressed his gratitude to IFEF for the partnership with IFEF for developing the application and for granting its use to Don Bosco Tech Africa.
Dousso Djibril, from IFEF, praised the DBTA and thanked it in turn for the valuable partnership. He then drew attention to the importance of this application in the field of vocational training. Indeed, the latter will help the school administration understand whether the quality of training fully meets the demand in the world of work.
