Brazil - June 2022 - The online meeting of Salesian novices in Brazil was held on June 18 on the theme "For you I study, for you I work, for you I live, for you, I am ready even to give my life." (Const. 14). Of the 25 Salesian novices participating, 12 belong to the novitiate of Barbacena, from the Provinces of Belo Horizonte, Campo Grande and Manaus, and 13 belong to the novitiate of Jaboatão do Guararapes, from the provinces of Recife, São Paulo and Porto Alegre. The event was an opportunity for the novices to interact and integrate by sharing their experiences. The meeting began with the animation of Salesian songs and prayer, followed by the presentation of the novices, each of whom spoke a phrase from Don Bosco that marked their vocational journey. The Novice Masters also spoke, presenting their mission in front of the formation of the novices, their vocational experience, and the phrases of Don Bosco they chose. Fr. Natale Vitali, Provincial Superior of the Salesian Province of Belo Horizonte and provincial reference person for Salesian Formation in Brazil, then encouraged the novices to live a "year of grace," shared his novitiate experience and vocation. He also emphasized that the novice "know, love and serve Jesus Christ, with the mind, heart, and hands of Don Bosco."
