The Provincial Superior of the Province of Mexico-Guadalajara (MEG), Fr. Filiberto González, and Fr. Carlos Montoya, the contact person for the schools, together with the community of the provincial house - religious and laity - hosted the meeting, welcoming in an atmosphere of fraternity the Salesians and the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians who had come to follow and accompany the pastoral educational processes of the Salesian schools: a dozen people, from various parts of the continent and contact persons for the four regions into which the continent is divided (CIMAC-NAC-MESOAMERICA-HDS; CINAB-ANDINA-HHSSCC-HDS; CIB-CISBRASIL; CICSAL-SOUTH CONE).
The meeting focused on developing the processes established in strategic planning; analyzing the various meetings held in the regions; organizing the next online seminar on the Global Education Compact and Preventive System, to be held on November 10 and 11, 2022; and begin planning for the next ESA V assembly, to be held in May 2024.
Steps forward in terms of strategic planning and Salesian significance in the school were also taken; also, from the Brazilian network, the curriculum of the schools in the network was presented, contextualizing the development process and its aspects of innovation in the educational plan.
Finally, the participants were also able to get acquainted with the spaces of the host school and share the Eucharist with the students of the institution, during which, moreover, the MEG Province sent three new aspirants to their destinations so that they could gain experience in various communities of the Province.
The next meeting of the ESA central commission will be held remotely in the first week of July to continue planning and preparations for the upcoming formation meetings scheduled on the continent.
