From June 5 to July 31, 2022, the #OnlyOneEarth campaign will be held, which in line with the United Nations' proposals, calls for real and transformative changes, in policies and everyday choices, to enable a better quality of life, greener, sustainable and in harmony with nature.
As part of this campaign, the Don Bosco Green Alliance will channel its actions toward "Sustainable Lifestyles and Sustainable Innovation." There is indeed an awareness that the climate crisis requires changes in our lifestyles and that, however, this alone is not enough: we need to replace polluting technologies and processes with greener alternatives.
The campaign, as anticipated, will be divided into two sections:
1. Sustainable Lifestyles;
2. Sustainable Innovations.
Both sections, for which the following resources are available and downloadable, include activities for students and youth and a number of actions indicated instead for institutions.
Not only the #OnlyOneEarth campaign. In fact, from May 22-29, the 2022 "Laudato Sì Week" will also be celebrated, commemorating the seventh anniversary of Pope Francis' historic Encyclical on the care of Creation. "Listening and walking together" is this year's theme, along with the quote, "Bringing the whole human family together to protect our common home" (LS 13). It will be a week of celebration, inspiring millions of Catholics around the world.
"Laudato Sì Week" is promoted by the Vatican through the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development and relies on several Catholic partners including the "Don Bosco Green Alliance." More information and resources are available at the following link.
