Myitkyina, Myanmar - January 2022 - On Saturday 1 January, on the day of the Solemnity of the Holy Mother of God, the new parish of St. Michael, in the Myo Thit Kyi district of Myitkyina, was entrusted to the Salesians by His Eminence, Cardinal Charles Bo, SDB. The new parish priest will be Fr Bosco Aung Zaw Win, SDB, who is also the Rector of the Don Bosco-Myitkyina Community. During the ceremony, which saw the participation of over 1,200 faithful, about forty boys and girls received the sacrament of Confirmation.
